Turning Green ~ Into Green
SWinterGreen Photo Sustainabilityustainability Can Equal Profitability

What is Greenscaping?
Greenscaping is a set of landscaping practices that can improve the health and appearance of large-scale landscapes while protecting and preserving natural resources.  It can help you save money, reduce wastes, conserve water and save energy, and embraces the 4 Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rebuy.

Benefits of Greenscaping
Following the principles of greenscaping can be a great financial move for your company - from buying long-lasting and reusable products to immediate savings of disposal costs.  Your consumption of waste will be reduced, saving landfill space and preserving natural resources.

Why It Is Important To Your Business
"Going Green" continues to be the buzz phrase of the last couple of years.  From television to magazines, homeowners are exposed to it constantly and their "environmental footprint" is somehting that they are becoming more and more concerned with.  Being a part of the solution - and not the WinterGreen Photoproblem - is now a responsibility homeowners have embraced.

As professionals within the green industry and the original stewards of the environment, your role with the future of our planet is an important one.  You will benefit from our education seminars and come away with the knowledge that you are making a difference by helping to prevent pollution, curb climate change, and reduce your "environmental footprint" on the earth.  You will also improve the public perception of your business.  And, as greenscaping gains in popularity among home and commercial property owners, be sure that your company is the one they will call.

Going green is not the only way to go.  However, adding it to your pallet of services will only strenghten your company!

As a landscape contractor, you may be surprised to find that you manage the same or similar areas of waste or cost as any other business.  The greatest source for eliminating these wastes (and eliminating them forever) is in having a business culture driven to take out the waste from the top to the bottom of your organization.

Dan will offer tips on how the Ariens Company changed their business model to become a company on a journey for continuous improvement.  The Ariens Company has been on their lean journey for eight year and Dan will share the story of how they started that journey, where they are now, and where they are going.

Delivering customer service in difficult situations will happen when we know our own strenghts and sweaknesses, when we can read our own emotions and when we have a clear sense of our self worth.  When we can take a fun look at our personal approach to service, then it is possible to connect with our customers and give them what they are looking for.

In this session, Bob will take a creative look at the three components of great service: Warm Welcomes, Magic Moments and Fond Farewells.
